In the heart of TKO Gateway, MX "Take Eat Easy", brings the warmth of a local classic into the polished terrain of a shopping mall. Bright signage, punchy colour-blocked seating, and raw finishes meet an efficient, high-traffic layout. Street-side comfort with a confident, youthful edge. Designed to be instantly recognisable and easy, it offers fast bites in a space that feels familiar, friendly, and full of personality.

The Challenge
Injecting some neighbourhood soul into the most impersonal context of all: a mall. We balanced visual energy with operational order, creating zones that invite diners to stay a little longer, even if they came in for a quick bite.
What We Loved
The eclectic furniture mix and vibrant signage, it’s a carefully orchestrated mess. Industrial pendants, neon typography, and mismatched chairs bring character and charm to the mall’s cookie-cutter calm.
Secret Detail
The pressed metal ceiling tiles add a quiet vintage drama, a nod to old Hong Kong eateries. Hidden in plain sight, they elevate the ceiling from purely functional to nostalgically expressive, bringing texture and history to a space made for speed.
