Our eighth location designed and built for Bakehouse, this time at The Peak Tower. 🏔️🥐 Few places in Hong Kong carry as much collective memory as The Peak, which makes this one feel especially meaningful. Bakehouse has always been about simple things done with care, and seeing that spirit reach the city’s highest point feels like a full-circle moment. Our role as designers was to support Bakehouse’s vision: an artisanal neighbourhood shop inspired by European bakeries, built on passion for craftsmanship and a strong sense of community. Nothing to shout about, just honest design that lets the brand and the place speak for themselves.

The Challenge

Designing within The Peak Tower came with its own uphill climb. The challenge was turning a transitional space into a destination: calm, inviting, and unmistakably Bakehouse. The site sits right at one of the mall’s main access points, surrounded by glass, fragmented by circulation paths, and constantly alive with foot traffic, which now coexists with Bakehouse’s unmistakable queues.

What We Loved

Designing where the city meets the clouds. The smell of bread drifting through glass walls as trams glide below. Seeing something so humble and familiar as The Bakehouse, take its place among Hong Kong’s icons, the kind of contrast we live for.

Secret Detail

The blue terrazzo counter outside shifts shades of blue with every change of light. It’s a small gesture, but it ties everything together: the view, the breeze, the ritual of coffee and croissant. A place to pause between sky and city.
