The Challenge
Designing within The Peak Tower came with its own uphill climb. The challenge was turning a transitional space into a destination: calm, inviting, and unmistakably Bakehouse. The site sits right at one of the mall’s main access points, surrounded by glass, fragmented by circulation paths, and constantly alive with foot traffic, which now coexists with Bakehouse’s unmistakable queues.
What We Loved
Designing where the city meets the clouds. The smell of bread drifting through glass walls as trams glide below. Seeing something so humble and familiar as The Bakehouse, take its place among Hong Kong’s icons, the kind of contrast we live for.
Secret Detail
The blue terrazzo counter outside shifts shades of blue with every change of light. It’s a small gesture, but it ties everything together: the view, the breeze, the ritual of coffee and croissant. A place to pause between sky and city.
