Located on a buzzing corner in Causeway Bay, this two-storey Bakehouse is a bold expression of the brand’s evolution. The design leans into visibility and transparency—inviting the street into the bakery, and the bakery into the street. With its industrial detailing, soft sage tiles, and warm-toned materials, the space balances production energy with neighbourhood charm. Every window frames activity, every corner earns its place—celebrating the craft behind the croissant.

The Challenge

In a bustling, high-rent district like Causeway Bay, every millimetre had to earn its keep. The real challenge was designing a space that delivered Bakehouse’s signature open-kitchen transparency while ensuring the back-of-house could function at full speed. Balancing visibility, flow, and operational efficiency in such a tight footprint demanded surgical precision.

What We Loved

Being able to take over both floors was a rare gift in Causeway Bay—and we made it count. The double-height façade gave us the canvas to bring one of Bakehouse’s strongest brand signatures to life: bold, honest transparency.

Secret Detail

Tucked away in the back-of-house is a chunky end-grain walnut butcher block—a true workhorse with style. More than just a surface, it’s where dough is folded, laminated, and brought to life. Durable, tactile, and unapologetically handsome, this table is both a tool and a quiet statement of craft.
