CUISINE

Middle Eastern

Though Bedu closed this year after eight vibrant years, we include it here as a nod to the impact it made on Hong Kong’s F&B scene. Much like the Bedouin tribes that inspired it, Bedu blends warmth and wanderlust in a snug Central hideaway.

The Challenge

Translating the expansive spice journey of Middle Eastern street stalls into a compact Hong Kong space—balancing authenticity with an approachable, relaxed vibe.

What We Loved

The semi‑open kitchen + bar setup invites connection—great for gatherings or solo chats with the chef.

Secret Detail

That textured feature wall, a quiet homage to Bedouin tents, hand-sculpted on site by our designers, fold by fold, side by side with the contractors. Every pleat in the plaster mimics the way fabric gathers in the desert wind, creating a tactile moment of pause inside Central’s buzz. Raw, grounded, and full of soul—just how we like it.
